HOME RAYDEL HDL Research Institute Vision

RAYDEL HDL Research Institute was
founded on a commitment to lipoprotein science

Our research began with a focus on identifying substances that elevate high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels, leading to intensive studies on policosanol-sugarcane wax alcohol.

This scientific endeavor led to the establishment of the RAYDEL HDL Research Institute, Korea’s first research institution specializing in policosanol. With a strong foundation in lipoprotein science, our institute continues to conduct studies focused on the safety and scientific validation of ingredients and products that RAYDEL considers most important.

Since 2014,RAYDEL HDL Research Institute has
led long-term research on policosanol-sugarcane wax alcohol.

RAYDEL HDL Research Institute has not only contributed to the recognition of policosanol’s role in blood pressure regulation, but has also conducted extensive research demonstrating its various functional properties, including anti-glycation, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects.

In addition to scientific research, the institute actively develops functional foods and novel drugs to help prevent diseases and promote public health. Our research focuses on identifying the therapeutic effects and applications of natural compounds and bioactive peptides to develop treatments for conditions such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, acute inflammation, autoimmune disorders, diabetic complications, and Alzheimer’s disease. The therapeutic efficacy of these candidates is evaluated through animal models and human clinical trials, with our findings published in internationally recognized scientific journals.

The RAYDEL HDL Research Institute is
dedicated to intensive research on HDL.

Our mission extends beyond ingredient research — it lies in our commitment to advancing human health. Inspired by the vision of a disease-free society where people can live healthier and happier lives, we focus our scientific efforts on HDL, the longevity factor.

HDL is known as the body’s only metabolic pathway for removing excess cholesterol. It has been associated with a wide range of health benefits, including anti-glycation, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and infection-preventive properties, as well as its potential in preventing Alzheimer’s disease.

In an aging society, our goal is not merely to extend lifespan, but to enhance quality of life. RAYDEL HDL Research Institute remains steadfast in its pursuit of innovation that supports healthy aging for all.
