The RAYDEL HDL Research Institute conducts a wide range of research activities aimed at ensuring the safety and scientific validation of ingredients and products, while contributing to disease prevention and public health through the development of functional foods and new drugs.

HDL

Prevention and management of dyslipidemia through the functional enhancement of the sole endogenous protein responsible for scavenging excess cholesterol from the bloodstream and facilitating its hepatic excretion. Amelioration and prevention of hypertension via upregulation of the unique protein capable of mediating cholesterol efflux from atherosclerotic lesions, thereby reducing plaque burden within the arterial wall. Development of novel therapeutics for acute inflammation by augmenting the activity of the vascularly circulating protein that suppresses inflammation throughout the entire systemic vasculature.

Policosanol - Sugarcane Wax Alcohol

Treatment of hyperlipidemia and hypertension by enhancing HDL function. Comparison of the efficacy between Cuban policosanol and imitative policosanol products. Demonstration of the value of Cuban policosanol and validation of its uniqueness.

Beeswax Alcohol

Cytoprotective effects through enhanced antioxidant activity. Investigation of the antioxidant effects on lipids and proteins and comparison of their impact on liver function improvement and brain damage prevention. Validation of the suppression of fatty liver and the enhancement of kidney function.

Ozonated Oil

Registration of ozonated sunflower oil as a functional food, positioning it as an emerging next-generation food ingredient. Identification of its functional benefits, including anti-inflammatory effects, suppression of atopic dermatitis, and promotion of tissue regeneration.

1.1.1. Therapeutic agent for acute severe inflammation(CIGB-258, Jusviza®)

Registration of CIGB-258, an anti-inflammatory peptide, as a new medical product by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Investigation of the superior efficacy of CIGB-258 compared to monoclonal antibodies used as therapeutic agents for rheumatoid arthritis. Exploration of the value of synergistic antioxidant and anti-glycation effects of HDL, apoA-I, and CIGB-258.

Identification of the value of RAYDEL KOREA's flagship products (Policosanol, Beeswax Alcohol, Propolis, Royal Jelly, and Red Ginseng Royal Jelly) and the registration and maintenance of these products with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
